Hi, I'm Josh - founder of The Road Less Traveled Nutrition.

I am a Nutrition Coach, a guide, and a believer in the power of choosing the path that feels right—even when it's not the easiest or most conventional one.

After years of participation in sports throughout my youth up and throughout the collegiate level, my body had experienced its fair share of wear, tear, and injury. The traditional methods of healing always left me right where I started off; still dealing with aches, pains, and inflammation. Being deeply immersed in the health and wellness industries, I decided to take a different path. I focused on healing my body through nutrition and movement. As I learned and began implementing different nutritional and movement modalities, I found that with each day, my body began feeling better, lighter, refreshed, and rejuvenated. The daily pain that I once would wake up to, began to dissipate. I found myself reaching physique goals that I had never been able to accomplish. And even better, it was as if old brain fog had lifted, and I began experiencing a whole new level of mental clarity. Truly, I never thought it would be possible to feel this good again.

Throughout the last five years, I have been a student, eager to learn and expand my knowledge in the nutrition and wellness fields. I realized that there isn't a one-size-fits-all when it comes to our health. I found a path that works for me, and I am now excited to help you do the same. I created this space to offer something different. Here, we go beyond diets and quick fixes. I focus on sustainable, personalized nutrition that supports the whole you—mind, body, and spirit.

It took a medical emergency to finally make me realize that my health needed to come first, with that I began to work with Coach Josh. I was overweight, tired, and had battled with anxiety and depression for many years. Josh and I talked in depth about the importance of the changes I could choose to make in my everyday life to be a better, healthier, happier me. The thoughts of meal preparation and exercise after a long day's work, "how could I possibly find the time and energy in my busy day", was just an excuse that had stopped me in my tracks on this health journey many times before. As your coach, my top priority is your success, and I want you to leave our time together equipped with the skills to maintain that success long-term. That's why we offer our clients 24/7 access to us—whether it's to answer questions or guide you through any challenges during the week. We track your progress daily, and each week, you'll complete a check-in before our coaching session. During this time, we'll review your goals, assess your progress, and set actionable steps for the week ahead!

As we assess where you currently stand and clarify your end goal, we'll likely identify certain nutritional indulgences or habits that aren't aligned with your objectives. Sometimes, achieving your goals becomes more attainable by reducing or substituting these indulgences. While we'll never ask you to do anything you're not comfortable with, we'll offer thoughtful recommendations to help position you for success and bring you closer to what you want to achieve.

The best way to truly understand what we're fueling our bodies with is by tracking our nutritional intake on a daily basis. Food tracking gives both you and your coach a clear view of the bigger picture, helping to identify nutritional gaps and create tailored strategies for improvement. That's why we require each client to subscribe to Cronometer Gold. At $9.99 per month, Cronometer Gold is an invaluable tool that allows us to set nutritional guides, track your intake, and serves as a reference as we review your progress each week.

Effective communication between coach and client is essential for making real progress toward your health and nutrition goals. That's why our coaching programs include 24/7 access to coach via email or text, as well as weekly check-ins and video calls to keep you supported, accountable, and on track.

Positive changes in your daily nutrition often begin at the grocery store and continue in the kitchen, where healthy habits truly take shape. Feeling overwhelmed about where to start? No need to worry—we've got you covered! Just ask, and we'll be happy to help. We offer additional services where we'll meet with you in person to guide you through the grocery store, helping you confidently navigate the aisles and fill your cart with the essentials you need to reach your goals. Need help with meal prep? We've got you covered there too! Together, we'll spend time in your kitchen, giving you hands-on guidance on how to prepare, portion, and build nutrient-dense meals that fuel your progress and fit your goals.
